Dog-Friendly Winter & Holiday Events

1. First Friday Art Walk – 12/2

Come get your holiday shopping done while supporting locally owned small businesses and artisans! You can even catch Santa at December First Friday Art Walk.

Each first Friday of the month, art galleries and businesses in historic Downtown Flagstaff participate in Art Walk with special art exhibitions, performances, live music, and more. We recommend taking the pups to Heritage Square, where you’ll usually find live music and other performances, and starting from there. You can find an official map on the Art Walk website. Please note that not every business participating in Art Walk is dog-friendly inside. Some of our favorite dog-friendly places on the list include: Bright Side Bookshop, Late for the Train, Mountain Sports, Pay ‘N Take, Bandoleros 66 Patio, and many more.

Check First Friday Art Walk website for more information.

2. Holiday Lights at Warner’s – 12/2

Warner’s Nursery is one of our favorite dog-friendly spots and the perfect place to get into the holiday spirit! Enjoy the magic of their holiday light displays with a hot cup of cocoa in hand on 12/2 from 5:30-7pm. Check their website and social media for more fun dog-friendly holiday events.

Check Warner’s Nursery website for more information.

4. Holiday Parade of Lights – 12/10

The annual Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce Holiday Parade of Lights will take place on Saturday, December 10 from 6pm-8pm in downtown Flagstaff. This event can get crowded, so reactive dogs are encouraged to stay home.

5. Howlidays Pawp Up – 12/11

This one is for the pups!! Downtown Flagstaff is hosting the Howlidays Pawp Up on 12/11. Humans are encouraged to dress up like their dogs and “pawp” downtown to take a family photo with Santa at Late for the Train from 11am-2pm. Donations will be split between High Country Humane and Coconino Humane Association. Downtown businesses will also be donating with 100% of proceeds going to shelters, some businesses will even have pet-friendly specials. This is going to be a great event!
